$5.00 will purchase 2 child's dinners, one adult and one child will cost $5.00 and a separate dinner is only $3.00.

Tra’Darius Ezell is the March Student of the Month. He is a 6th grader at Notasulga High School. An avid athlete, Tra’Darius played little league football and basketball. He attends House of Prayer Church, where he assists with the church’s food bank. His teachers describe him as a leader who strives to learn something new each day. Additionally, Tra’Darius is known for his altruism in helping his classmates when needed. Congratulations, Tra'Darius!
Trenholm State Technical College is offering a five week Certified Nursing Assistant Program at no cost to Macon County residents. Classes are scheduled to begin April 2012. To qualify you must meet the following requirement:
- Must be a resident of Macon County
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must pass drug screen and TB skin test
- Must keep ninety percent (90%) attendance for entire five week program
- Must pass the five week program and the state examination to become certified
Applications may be picked up at the Macon County DHR office and the Tuskegee Medical and Surgical Center. Please return completed application to one of the above sites or fax to (334) 420-4288. A selected committee will review the applications, and the accepted students will be notified. If you have any questions, please call (334) 420-4393.
Students at Tuskegee Public Elementary School celebrated Dr. Seuss' Birthday and Read Across America Week by decorating the hallways and classroom doors with artwork of some of Dr. Seuss' most famous characters.
Students from Booker T. Washington High School, including Ms Janet Langford, the reigning Ms Booker T. Washington High, treated the students to readings from Dr. Seuss.
Members of Omega Psi Phi (ΩΨΦ) Fraternity from Tuskegee University, took time out from their busy schedules to visit with our students. Everyone enjoyed the stories, the fellowship and the friendship extended.

The sixth and seventh graders at Notasulga High School participated in Pi Day Activities. Dr. Marilyn Strutchens from Auburn University and her math students set up stations in which the students rotated through participating in a variety of activites related to Pi. The students’ stated that they enjoyed rotating to the different stations and learning about Pi in different ways. A big thank you goes out to Dr. Strutchens and her students for helping make this activity a success.

Mia Jarvis, a 5th-grader at Tuskegee Public School, is the Sketch The Sky winner. Mia submitted a drawing of a "Dream Boat" to the Weather Segment of WSFA-TV in Montgomery, Alabama....and Mia's drawing was chosen as the winner!
