ACAP Summative Assessment

 

Why is Alabama testing students? 5 things to know as assessments start -  al.com

 

Students in grades 2nd-8th will participate in the Alabama Comprehensive Assessment Program (ACAP) Summative.                                         

The assessment consists of the following: 

 English Language Arts and Math for grades 2nd-8th

 Writing for grades 4th-8th 

Science for grades 4th, 6th, and 8th 

Online assessment 

The assessment purpose is to provide a  baseline for 3rd-grade growth. 

Test items are aligned with the Alabama Course of Study 

 

The Online Tools Training (OTT) modules that were designed to help students learn about the online testing system and familiarize themselves with the user interface in advance of testing. Students may access the OTT as often as needed or desired from either the classroom or home. The OTT runs on a standard Google Chrome web browser and can be accessed outside the school network.
