I am elated to be serving as the Alabama Reading Initiative (ARI) Local Reading Specialist) at Deborah Cannon Wolfe Elementary School (DCW). I have been employed with the Macon County School System for 38 years functioning in various roles inclusive of kindergarten and first grade teacher, ARi Reading Specialist, Assistant Principal, Dyslexia Specialist and Mental Health Services/ Student Supports committee member.
My primary responsibility is to support teachers at DCW is to support teachers in providing the best quality instruction for our students. At DCW it is our vision to work diligently in assisting our in becoming proficient readers. I look forward to working with the principal, staff, teachers, parents and community to make this goal attainable for our students to be successful.
