Welcome to American Literature II. In this course, students study American Literature from 1900 to present day. Students will start with the Realism unit and work their way through various decades of literature. Students will learn the historical context of all the works read in class and make connections to the literature.
In accordance with CCRS, students will be able to thoroughly cite textual evidence, analyze and interpret figurative language, and present findings using the research method. Additionally students will learn about social classes, societies, and ideas that challenge their current way of thinking.
In an effort to utilize technology to the fullest, students will take part in Google Meets video chats and Google Classroom. Technology will play an integral part in learning this year. Students will use technology in meaningful and innovative ways. Please take the time to familiarize yourself with Google Classroom and this website.
