STEM Education Engagement in Career & Technical Education

November 8, 2014 the Macon County Public School System will engage student’s skills and technical abilities in the 5th Annual Wiregrass BEST Robotics Competition. Each year we have experienced more student interest in this advancing STEM initiative. Students from all of our career and technical education programs are sharing their skills and interest towards this project. We are pleased with the learning outcome of these students as they continue to demonstrate proficiency in applied technology. Many of the students on the Robotics Team are dual enrollment students with Trenholm State Technical College where they are working towards their Associates Degree in a STEM discipline. We could not be more pleased with our students and their learning outcomes. Please look for continued academic advancements as we develop and explore greater college and career ready readiness programs and competitions. At this time we would like to thank AFCEA – Montgomery Chapter for their continued assistance towards supporting Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics in public education.

Success!
